About Hadi Jbara

As a PhD Fellow at INRAe Micalis Institute, I am exploring how bacterial biofilms adapt to extreme environments, such as microgravity and hyper-gravity, in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). My research leverages advanced tools like CRISPR-interference screens, next-generation sequencing, and confocal microscopy to investigate the genetic factors contributing to biofilm formation. With a solid background in systems and synthetic biology, my expertise includes biofilm phenotyping, bacterial transformation, and DNA technologies like PCR and qPCR. I also use software imaging tools such as BiofilmQ and Imaris for biofilm analysis and quantification and apply Python for efficient data management and analysis. Passionate about innovation, my goal is to advance our understanding of microbial behavior in space, with potential applications in biotechnology and space exploration.
