About Hadley Boomer

I am recent graduate from the University of Rhode Island with a major in in Communication Studies and a double minor in General Business and Psychology. I am passionate about leveraging effective communication and business strategy to solve problems, support teams, and build meaningful professional relationships. I just wrapped up my two internships at the Career Center of Experiential Education as a Career Peer Advisor and Teaching Assistant. These positions have strengthened my skills in organization, teamwork, patience, and adaptability. During my time at the University of Rhode Island, I’ve taken a diverse range of courses in the Communication, Business, and Psychology fields. Taking classes in so many different departments has shown me that everyone has different perspectives, teaching styles, and problem solving approaches. This taught me how to be more adaptable, open-minded, and prepared to approach problems from multiple angles. In the Spring semester of 2024 I took COM 351: Organizational Communication with Jennifer Danielson. This class taught me how the professional work world functions and what to expect in the future. I also learned the ins and outs of interviewing, resume building, cover letter writing, professional communication, and so much more. This course played a key role in preparing me for the two positions I currently hold. I am excited to bring my skills and experience into a professional setting where I can continue learning, growing, and making an impact!
