About Hadley Willman

Hadley Willman is dedicated to leading collective impact for effective sustainability education and real-time climate solutions. She is the Network Engagement Coordinator at Engineering for One Planet and the Assistant Director at the Initiative for Climate Leadership and Resilience at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is the Creator and former Director of the University Climate Ambassador (UCA) program at the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Her professional background is primarily based in sustainability literacy, education, and engagement. She has experience in the following- Redeveloping Cal Poly's third sustainability literacy assessment and research study (delivered to 1088 students from 2023-2024; paper incoming)- Creating a student volunteer program centering sustainability action on higher education campuses (the University Climate Ambassador program, which had students from 43 campuses)- Leading the development of 3 past sustainability conferences (with over attendees between them) and 2 incoming sustainability conferences- Expanding and strengthening international stakeholder networks, & more. She has a lifelong passion for protecting the environment, and throughout her academic and professional career, her vision narrowed to focus on improving sustainability literacy and engagement in young people, particularly at higher education institutions. Her skills lie in research, program leadership, conferences, and communications.
