About Haico Duisters

I’ve always been fascinated by building things: companies, teams, ideas and by how business connects people across borders. In my early twenties, I started an online wine gift shop that grew quickly and was later sold. That exit gave me the freedom to explore something bigger abroad and that’s how Proshore began in Nepal. What started as an adventure has become a company of 80+ people, working with SaaS and enterprise clients across Europe. But what matters most to me is what it means locally: creating real career opportunities for talented people in Nepal and helping reduce the brain drain by building something worth staying for.A few years later, my passion for e-commerce led to DPL, where we build Shopify-certified apps connecting merchants to marketplaces like Etsy, eBay and Walmart. It’s been amazing to see our apps power thousands of merchants globally. Most recently, I founded MerchPIM — a Product Information Management system built directly inside Shopify. It helps brands manage and enrich their product data without ever leaving the admin they already know.Beyond tech, I also invest in real estate.Across everything I do, the red thread is the same: creating value with people I trust, in places that inspire me.
