About Haider Ghaleb

Haider is a serial tech entrepreneur, change maker and investor with 10+ years of experience in IT consulting and development. He worked with a number of international companies in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, and spent multiple years consulting the senior executive management of the Deutsche Post DHL Group. He founded Challenge Group, The D. GmbH, & co-founded Singularity University Cairo Chapter, Pala Innovation Hub (a technology hub in Maadi, Cairo), and The Sandbox (a subsidiary of The D. GmbH). Besides this he is a board member of HackaGlobal and HackaMENA, arranging open innovation initiatives in Europe and MENA region. The D. GmbH has been awarded as one of the Top 25 solution providers within Artificial Intelligence in Europe in 2017. He is passionate about purpose-driven technology and how we can apply it to solve global challenges. Today he is mainly working within the field of artificial intelligence - specifically focusing on the power of computer vision. In his spare time, he advises and mentors startups within tech and business development - focusing on startups operating in developing economies and working with purpose-driven tech. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transportation and is a Graduate from the Global Solutions Programme at Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Center, and holds a specialization from MIT Sloan School of Management in Artificial Intelligence in Business.
