About Hailey Dawood

I am the Chief Huntress at The Idea Hunter, and I have 10 years of experience in marketing, business development and event management. I have spent the last 5 years building a company from six-to-seven figures and from two-to-seven employees, driven by a customer obsessed mindset. Being a builder is not only something that excites me but a word that I can truly identify with. After working at The Idea Hunter for 5 years, as The Account Director, I had the opportunity to take over the business as the new owner in 2020. During my time at The Idea Hunter I have had the opportunity to work on small to large scale events with clients across all industries with the goal to increase employee engagement, drive sales and create connection. The Accounts that I have managed include CDW, Flipp, Toronto Blue Jays, Deloitte, Hudson’s Bay and many more. This has broadened my understanding of varying stakeholder needs and strengthened my relationships with suppliers/agencies in the city. Furthermore, I am proud to have been awarded the 2019 Emerging Industry Leader for my business ethics and collaborations within the event industry. Being a project/event manager means that you need to educate those around you to ensure they understand your decision making and respect you as a leader. After leading a team for 4 years, I was given the opportunity to give back to the industry by becoming a part-time professor at Seneca College, teaching Integrated Marketing for Events. I was chosen as the youngest professor for the program because of my experience, but more importantly my communication skills, as I work with a diverse class from all around the world. When I am not working or teaching, you can find me taking a Pelton cycling class at home or at home learning a new healthy recipe. I am an avid podcast listener and love learning new skills on Mindvalley.
