About Hailey Granata

I am in Northwoods MMB/BBA program where I will graduate in 4 years with my Bachelors and Masters with my undergrad majoring in Hospitality Management. Besides my studies I am also on the Track and Field Team, President of Freshmen Mentor Program, Vice President of Student Athletic Advisory Committee, member of Business Professionals of America, Student for Sustainability, Diversity and Inclusion Group, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I love making peoples day and being apart of there special moments that I sometimes get to plan from start to finish or help set up the tables and linen. Every day is different in the Hospitality Industry and that is what make it so much fun and enjoyable for me. I have worked in a variety of Hospitality industries, starting as a front desk admin at the Dow Hotel in Conference Center. Learning the basics of how to book and check in guest into hotel. Learned housekeeping and event set up while working with different department like events, facilities and sales. As a Bartender I learned proper food and acholic service and was responsible of creating weekly cocktail menus a well as creating syrups. As a Sales Intern and the Grand Travers Resort and Spa I learned how to edit contract, proposals, BEOs and create booking recaps. By doing this I earned all the small details that go into planning any mall and big event. As a Food Sales Intern at the Shedd Aquarium, I learned how to create BEO's and was responsible for completing them in a timely manner and delivering them to my ales manager and the food and beverage team.
