About Hailey Huffman

Last summer I worked as a Wildlife Research Technician with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the rabies sector working with small and medium sized mammals to vaccinate them against rabies while educating the public. Prior to that I volunteered with the Western Chorus Frog Long Term Monitoring Program. I graduated with a diploma on Conservation Biology from Fleming College learning different techniques utilized as field biologist, ArcGIS, identification of plants and wildlife of Eastern Ontario. Previously I completed a Bachelor of Science Honours in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. While completing my schooling I worked at Frontenac Provincial Park as both an Interior Ranger and as an Office Assistant. I have become familiar with the flora and fauna within the park and love working outdoors in rough terrain. My goal is to become a wildlife biologist studying different diseases carried within mammals and then applying that knowledge to determine how it could impact humans and what we could do to prevent that.
