As a nursing student deeply committed to civil and human rights, my passion extends to advocating for racial and gender equity, immigrant rights, reproductive freedom, veteran advocacy, mental health awareness, and reforming the criminal justice system, especially in addressing mass incarceration. Furthermore, my academic pursuit in nursing, with a focus on advancing to become an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner specializing in mental health, has further fueled my dedication to these causes. My academic pursuits in nursing, combined with my professional experiences, have solidified my dedication to fighting for justice and reform within the criminal justice system. I aspire to bridge the realms of law, medicine, and nursing, utilizing my interdisciplinary expertise to advance these critical causes and make a meaningful impact on the world.
