Background

About Hajar Allahverdi

Protection of the environment in parallel of sustainable development is my main career passion. I am a process and safety engineering specialist with about 13 years of progressive experience. After graduated in bachelor's of chemical engineering, I started my career with 5 years as quality control and R&D specialist in a great pharmaceutical company, analyzing products to ensure consistency and compliance, with international standards (BP, USP) by using HPLC and GC,analyzing the new products for their impurities and completing method of testing and arranging the mentioned method based on ISO and GMP. Then in 2007, I had the chance to continue my experience for about 8 years of working in Oil and Gas industries in a huge EPC company, working on the conceptual, basic and detailed design of onshore gas refinery as a process and safety engineer in the engineering section. By preparation of engineering design drawings, specifications and data sheets for process, safety and firefighting equipment. With greatly use (API, ASME, and NFPA) and participating in HAZOP meetings and 3D model review meetings. And in the parallel preparation of Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations, vendor evaluation for manufactured equipment, cooperation with Client, Licensor and Consultant engineers. During my experiences, I tried to mentor and coordinate junior team members and trainees. Finally, I continued my study in the field of environment and during my study, I worked in some project of sustainable development, energy efficiency, conversion of biomass, solid waste management and water treatment. In winter of 2016, during 5 months of working in the laboratory, I had a successful experience on purification of lithium sulfate solution with ion exchange. My work experience has taught me to be appreciative of different viewpoints and be a good planner, effective problem solver, always looking forward to facing new challenges, be adaptable in the different environment.
