About Hajer Sabil

As a political science major, I am trained in critical thinking and problem solving. I study the science of politics, with an emphasis on political thought, which shapes society and examines human nature as a whole. With an understanding of human behavior and the structure of societies, both present and future, I interact with the world with a unique set of lenses. I've spent my years at Lehigh University pursuing various disciplines, to compliment my political education, with practical knowledge and skills. I've pursued four minors in Spanish, marketing, real estate, and global studies. I've also pursued a certificate in global citizenship. In each of these subjects, I've learned numerous skills that are invaluable in the workforce, as well as in everyday life. For example, studying the Spanish language has dramatically improved my communication skills. Furthermore, this diverse education has opened up incredible experience opportunities. My understanding of global citizenship, as well as my courses in marketing opened the opportunity to work abroad in Italy at Net4Market, a software firm. During this experience, I developed skills in website design and learned basic HTML/ CSS. Successes achieved during my time in this role include- Sitemap planning using Miro - Designing mockups and prototypes using Adobe XD and Figma - Building webpages with HTML & CSS using Wordpress This role sparked my interest in UX design. I am currently pursing Google's UX Design Professional Certificate, in hopes of furthering my design skills. Other interests include project management and marketing.
