About Haley Andrews

Haley Andrews originally from Middleboro, Massachusetts is a New England based dancer, choreographer, and educator. She graduated from Salve Regina University with a BA in English Communications, accompanied by her dance minor in 2018. Upon graduation, Andrews was the recipient of the Salve Regina University Dance Award. During her time at Salve, she was a dancer/choreographer for Extensions Dance Company, performed and presented choreography at American College Dance Association, and was a captain for SRU Dance Club. Her work 1,968.4 Miles of Vulnerability was one of just nine pieces selected for the Gala Concert at ACDA 2018 in which the adjudicators called her work “evocative” and praised her movement invention. That same piece was then selected to be showcased in Boston Contemporary Dance Festival August of 2018 at the historical Huntington Theatre. After graduation Haley relocated to Boulder, Colorado where she began to further develop her Project based Contemporary company, Andrews Movement. Since then, her choreography has been presented at BandChicago Dance Festival at Hubbard Street Dance (2019), Versatility Dance Fest Colorado & California (2019), in Salve Regina University Company Concerts (2019, 2021), and most recently at Mash Up Dance’s International Women’s Day Festival in California (2022). Throughout her time in CO, Haley danced for T2 Dance Company, a Contemporary company based out of Boulder, CO. She spent 2019 and part of the 2020 season performing, choreographing on other company dancers, and touring with them. Currently, Haley resides back in New England. Since finishing up the past year as an adjunct professor of Contemporary Dance at Salve Regina University, as well as her month long residency with RI Women's Choreography Project at Festival Ballet Providence, you can find her instructing various Adult Drop-In style Contemporary classes around Rhode Island, and the greater Boston area. Whilst instructing, Haley continues to build repertoire for Andrews Movement, and has plans to premiere work nationwide throughout the 2022/2023 season.
