About Haley Butler
Embarking on a lifelong exploration of plant-animal ecosystems and conservation biology, I found that my passion is positioned at the intersection of conservation ecology and agricultural education/extension. My experiences working with researchers and agricultural producers around the world has led me to the belief that biological conservation efforts are null without including the needs of local agricultural producers and communities. With a master’s and doctoral research background in plant-insect ecosystems and holistic integrated pest management, my goal is to support the development of agricultural systems that strike a harmonious balance between economic viability and ecological sustainability.
