Hello! My name is Haley French and I am a licensed professional counselor passionate about building interpersonal relationships with others to foster growth in all areas across the lifespan. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Arkansas State University. I am professionally licensed to practice counseling in both Alabama and Arkansas. As a clinician with 5+ years of experience, I have held various professional roles in: outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient therapy, inpatient substance use disorder treatment, private practice, consulting, utilization review, and higher education. My current position as an Embedded Therapist with The University of Alabama Counseling Center allows me to: ·Support students through their entire academic career as they work to maximize their learning and experience personal growth. ·Increase visibility of support services, normalizing the idea that supporting mental health is integral to student success and development. ·Provide tailored treatment to embedded area and develop strong working relationships with departmental staff, faculty, and students. ·Create and engage in outreach activities that help create an informed, educated, and supportive community. I am an enthusiastic, approachable, and optimistic professional that enjoys collaborating with others to find solutions. My goal is to encourage personal growth, diversity, inclusion, and integrity in all my professional and personal endeavors.
