About Haley Horaz

A summa cum laude graduate of Syracuse University and current Johns Hopkins University graduate student, I am seeking to develop and utilize essential skills to influence positive change and make a difference in our communities nationwide. During my undergraduate career, I not only accumulated a wealth of knowledge and skills through my rigorous and diverse courses, I volunteered as a research assistant at Syracuse University's Mind Body Lab, which specializes in mindfulness intervention research, and gained experience in psychological research. As a 2019 Teach For America Corps Member and Corps Leadership Ambassador, I have experienced what it is like to become a teacher leader within my classroom in Orlando. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who need a teacher, a role model, and a cheerleader in their corner. I hope throughout my career to continue to build upon my skillset and use my experiences to promote equity for all students so that one day, all students have the access to the quality education they deserve.
