About Haley Majer

I obtained a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology in Drexel University's Biomedical Graduate Program. My thesis project focused on using bacteria to make new antibiotics in order to address the global antibiotic resistance crisis. During my research, I mastered techniques including bacterial genomics (PacBio sequencing) via multiple bioinformatic platforms, LCMS, cloning, and protein expression/purification. In parallel, I have developed advanced critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Combined with my work experience at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories with duties including: bacterial culture maintenance, aseptic technique, equipment maintenance, and Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing and Microbial Limits Testing following GMP and FDA guidelines, I strive to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
