About Haley Mitchell

I attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and am a junior in the Haslam College of Business studying in Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. I am a driven problem solver when completing tasks. Working as a Logistics Intern at NAR Simulation I always made sure I was doing what I was asked, and always exceeded their expectations. This strength earned me the role of Vice President of Pledge Education in the International Professional Business Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Alpha Zeta Chapter. I was elected to teach neophytes about our fraternity and prepare them before they are initiated into the chapter. Being a leader is another strength of mine. My fellow brothers respect and trust me that I am making sure these neophytes are educated before becoming a brother. A few of my business goals include creating efficient systems of tracking inventory and how to effectively manage people in a professional manner. My experience with inventory management, leadership and teamwork have prepared me to pursue a career in supply chain. For example, I created a more efficient process of counting products in a warehouse at NAR that not only benefited the company at the time but allowed for a quicker product count during future audits. Being a Farm Team Leader at the sod company taught me how to communicate with different types of people and how to gain the respect of others. I was able to create a relationship with each of my co-workers and responsible for their actions and performance. My career goal after college is to be leader in inventory management in a Fortune 500 company.
