About Haley Stotts

I'm not good at a lot of things. Take cheerleading, for example. Flipping through old home videos, mom found countless clips of me practicing my audition routine for the middle school cheer squad (America’s Funniest Home Videos, we’ve got some quality content for you). I was an awkwardly lanky preteen, sporting an oversized white tee, basketball shorts and the not-so-cute kind of messy bun… true cheerleader fashion. We lost count of how many times I ran through the routine, each rep looking a little different but still just as uncoordinated as the last. I knew I wasn’t the best, but I believed I wasn’t the worst. You could see that in my unrelenting smile. Tryouts came around, and somehow, I managed to make the squad. I improved a little overtime, but you can only do so much with two left feet. Yet despite my lack of grace and balance, the essence of being a “cheer-leader” was not lost on me… I was quite possibly the peppiest one on the court or field. I’m good at a few things, and passion seems to be at the core of them all. If you look at my resume, you’ll notice I’ve dabbled in a lot of areas, from creative media, to student government, to healthcare marketing and now banking business development. As time goes on, I’m learning where I’m skilled and where I’m not. But one thing has remained true: the passion, enthusiasm and cheer I saw in my younger self is still alive and well. It’s transferred into every role, position and opportunity I’ve been given. And if I may say so, I think that’s what makes me a valuable player on any team.
