Background
About Haley Taylor
Growing up and to this day I am either playing or watching sports. When I was little, I started playing soccer and I was always looking for a way to get better. I would spend hours dribbling through cones or trying to juggle. Practice makes perfect, right. I loved the process, and before I knew it my time and dedication paid off. I got the opportunity to play collegiately. And once again I had the drive to try to be better than each previous year. While in college I studied athletic training where I had four different clinical rotation sites. This exposed me to multiple different sports at the high school and collegiate levels. While at those clinical sites I saw room to expand my education post graduation. I always liked resistance training and I knew what I did as an athlete to help me prepare for soccer, but I knew there was much more that I could learn. Currently, I am a second year graduate student in the strength and conditioning program at Springfield College (Springfield, MA), with an intended graduate date this May. Here my knowledge in the subject has greatly expanded. I have also completed multiple internships while attending classes. This has given me the opportunity to apply what I have learned and get hands-on coaching experience with multiple different teams and athletes. Additionally, I am currently working as an athletic trainer, graduate teaching fellow at Springfield College. Here I am the athletic trainer for the women’s volleyball and men’s gymnastics teams. Where daily duties include injury prevention, injury diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation, documentation, collaboration with fellow ATs, strength and conditioning coaches, and sport coaches. I have been able to apply what I have learned in both undergraduate and graduate studies to my everyday life while in this position. I am a dedicated, self-motivated, hard working, compassionate person who wants to see the people I work with succeed. One of my goals is to help my athletes be the best they can be on and off the field or court.
