Background

About Haley Weaver

Haley has built a career providing keen-eyed and constructive editorial guidance, profit-minded project management, and meticulous, proactive administrative assistance. Writing in its many forms has the power to entertain, educate, and inspire us, and Haley adores honing that communicative potential by strengthening clarity and spotting errors on the line level as well as making sure the message of the bigger picture is deftly executed. She brings a combination of creative and analytical energy to her work, loving spreadsheets, budgeting, and data organization as much as a witty line of copy or a beautiful piece of media. In her work in the publishing industry, she has worked closely and coordinated efforts across production, marketing, sales, publicity, art, and legal departments, partnered with agents and authors (including major celebrities and NYT bestsellers), wrote speeches and persuasively presented titles in meetings, and supported senior staff with a wide range of managerial styles. Through these responsibilities, she developed top-notch communication skills. She also has experience researching market demand, collaborating on marketing/publicity materials and product packaging, making creative and stylistic judgment calls, tracking deadlines and production concerns on 50+ projects simultaneously, and balancing client care with business needs.
