About Halimah Igwelaezoh

Graduated form university in 2019 with a degree in Mathematics and have been working in financial industry since then; so currently have 3+ years of professional experience working within the finance and insurance industry. Alongside of that, in 2020 I started working as a freelance illustrator (which I love) and now have over 2 years professional experience working within the art and design world; also enabling me to use these expertise to work on my own personal creatively directed/design projects. This has given me both an analytical/financial and creative background. I spent a lot of time alongside my degree extensively researching, organising and creating events in line with feminism and intersectionality which is something that brought me great joy as president of our intersectional feminist society. I naturally take well to roles of leadership but also enjoy working collaboratively in a team with other individuals and seeing what other peoples POV are in these dynamics. Continuously recognised by senior staff for my initiative taking in both industries and ability to capture a brief/task and carry it well to a high standard with very little to no revisions. I also pride myself on my ability to learn and pick things up a quite quickly - in relation to learning new computing languages and also other aspects as I'm passionate about self improvement. I enjoy having various hobbies, interests and projects that integrate both my personal and professional life, for one example, I am currently developing my own person database used to analyse and navigate different aspects of ethics and sustainability within fashion.
