About Hally Michaelis

As I pursue my degree in Environmental Engineering at Iowa State University, I am propelled forward by my strong work ethic, passion for improving the quality of our planet, and interest in problem solving. In school, I am taking classes to improve my understanding of fundamental engineering skills, research, taking and analyzing samples, complying with given criteria. When I am not busy with school work, I participate in Engineers for a Sustainable World and CHi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. In each organization, I volunteer my time to serve others and build valuable relationships. Additionally, I work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Group Fitness Instructor at Iowa State.My academic experiences have helped improve my communication, motivation, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills. I successfully manage high volume task loads in individual and group projects by regularly communicating with others, setting and following deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and upholding myself and others to quality standards.
