About Hamda Alblooshi

i’m hamda abdulaziz alblooshi — a mechanical engineer at al taif (edge group) passionate about transforming complex challenges into real-world innovations. from leading rahhal’s exhibition projects at idex & miite 2025 to designing advanced concepts in r&d, i thrive on bridging creativity with engineering. my journey began with a bsc in mechanical engineering from the university of birmingham (uk), where i explored everything from sustainable farming systems to autonomous mobility. today, i apply that global perspective to projects in system integration, ai-powered predictive maintenance, and 3d technologies (solidworks, creo, faro, artec, ansys). beyond engineering, i contribute as an edge youth council innovation stream member, mentor students through national initiatives, and proudly represent the uae internationally as an iec young professional. one of my highlights was being part of the ounn project team, which was recognized by the uae armed forces innovation and excellence award — proof of the impact collaboration and innovation can achieve. quick highlights: • recognition at the uae armed forces innovation & excellence award for ounn project • edge ambassador & protocol delegate at idex & dubai airshow • active in ai innovation program (moiat) & young future energy leaders (yfel) & national young professionals program (moiat) • six sigma yellow belt certified • fluent in arabic & english, exploring japanese when i’m not engineering or mentoring, you’ll find me on the jiu-jitsu mat — where i sharpen the same discipline, resilience, and strategy i bring into my professional life. my motto: “live as if you will die tomorrow, and learn as if you will live forever.”
