Background

About Hamdi Ali

As a finance student at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, I create value by applying financial knowledge to drive economic progress and support underserved communities. As a Realtor®, I helped Muslim Somali families overcome homeownership challenges, generating over $1.1M in sales revenue while designing religiously compliant financing strategies tailored to client needs. I excel in financial modeling, including DCF and LBO analysis, and advanced Excel, which I leveraged during my Equity Research Analyst internship. I built valuation models that influenced $10M+ in investment decisions and automated workflows with SQL, reducing process times by 20%. My ability to identify market trends using Tableau strengthened the insights I presented to decision-makers. Managing in funding as a CFO Intern taught me how to optimize resource allocation for 100+ student organizations while ensuring transparency and fairness. I actively seek roles in private equity and investment banking where I can apply these skills to meaningful transactions. My goal is to contribute to high-impact initiatives that create both financial value and social progress. Let’s connect to explore opportunities and how I can add value to your team.
