About Hamid Ahbedin

Throughout my life I have always been into art. it was a huge focus and I thought I would join the art industry when I was older. However, as a muslim I believe God has his own plans. Through my passion in art and my love for video games, after college I was offered and unconditional offer into Games Art for University. After realising that I prefer to do art as a hobby, to pass time and relax my mind, I looked towards teaching (which I had been doing for about 10 years in Islamic institutions by that point). During my 10 years experience I had always loved to reward and sanction students where by striking a good balance. But after doing my degree I learnt about Gamification and started implementing that into my teaching and going into my PGCE my teaching style had caught alot of attention. This is due to the game like teaching style grasping student engagement and taking over behaviour management. Today im a full time maths teacher, still evolving my skills, but it safe to say, my Gamification teaching techniques are still causing ripples.
