About Hamida Bhimani

I am driven and passionate about propelling individuals, teams and organizations to achieve their full potential. I derive meaning from coaching women leaders to help them discover and achieve their purpose. I facilitate a dynamic leadership program for women at Schulich Executive Education, York University. As a forward looking healthcare executive, I strongly believe that the best way to transform our public system is through engagement of patients by understanding their lived experience, guiding decisions through use of best practice and evidence and leveraging collaboration to transform our health systems. I believe in paying it forward and am actively engaged in contributing to my profession and community. Our team executes professional and leadership programs for public health teams and leads strategic initiatives that drive organizational excellence. I conduct applied research on leadership and EDI and publish key findings and leading practices in peer-reviewed journals. I am also proud to have served as the Chair of the Ontario Association of Public Health Nursing Leaders which provides strategic advice from our members to the government on public health issues and nursing workforce development. I currently serve on several health and education boards including Canada's Drug Agency (CDA) and ITREB Canada where I share my experience in strategy and systems design, enterprise risk management, human capital strategy and effective governance practices.
