If you are a interesting in scheduling a session feel free to contact me through my Psychology Today profile: General information about my background: I graduated The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Human Resource Management in 2016. Since I graduated with my bachelor's, I have continued to grow in the field of counseling and worked as a counseling intern at a detox facility. I worked closely with people with substance abuse issues, connected them with local resources, or connected them with partnered treatment facilities. I also worked as a case manager at a women's halfway house helping women with recidivism. I was able to assist the residents with vocational services, housing services, educational services, and navigating social services. Soon after I graduated, and I started pursuing my Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I graduated with my Master’s and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Then began working at Pathways Counseling Center. In this role I was able to provide case management, perform clinical assessments, administer clinical counseling, develop treatment plans, made referrals, provided crisis intervention, and helped client’s get connected to resources needed. During that role, I also worked part time at Cuyahoga Community College as a College Counselor / Academic Advisor. In that position I was able to enforce administration policies, connect students with college and community wide resources to ensure academic success, provide students with information on topics, such as college degree programs and admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, trade and technical schools, and apprenticeship programs. Currently, I am looking for ways to gain experience in the field of Human Service and Education.
