Engineering leader with a strong background in backend systems, architecture, and fintech platform development, currently serving as Head of Engineering at YAP Pakistan.I started my career as a software engineer building scalable Java/Spring Boot-based backend systems, and progressively grew into roles spanning system design, software architecture, and engineering leadership. Over time, I contributed to building and evolving white-label fintech platforms supporting onboarding, KYC, payments, and third-party integrations with core banking and financial service providers.In architecture-focused roles, I led initiatives around platform modernization, engineering best practices, and system reliability, including CI/CD improvements, automated testing strategies, and security/code quality enforcement using tools like SonarQube and OWASP Dependency Checks.Today, I lead cross-functional engineering teams across Backend, Mobile, Web, and QA, driving execution and alignment between business goals and technical delivery. My role focuses on building scalable systems, improving engineering maturity, and ensuring fast yet reliable product delivery.A key milestone in my journey has been contributing to the pilot EMI license acquisition from the State Bank of Pakistan, where I led engineering efforts during audits and worked closely with compliance, security, and infrastructure teams.I actively work across product, operations, compliance, risk, and external partners, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution to deliver impactful fintech solutions.
