About Hamza Chafiq

I started my career as a Freelance Web Developer and Designer, working with HTML, HTML5, CSS, and open-source platforms like Blogger and WordPress. Through these projects, I developed an eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and gained practical knowledge in SEO, which enhanced my understanding of digital communication. Later, I took on freelance work in translation and ghostwriting, where I honed my language skills and gained a deeper appreciation for effective communication—skills I now apply in teaching. For three years, I also worked as a Computer Service Technician and Assistant Accountant, which strengthened my technical and organizational skills. Yet, my real passion emerged after completing the CELTA in 2017. I began tutoring high school students preparing for the IB, and soon after, I transitioned to teaching General and Business English, as well as subjects like English Literature, History, and Marketing to secondary students. I loved creating lessons from scratch and designing content that met each learner’s unique needs. In pursuit of excellence, I enrolled in the DipTESOL, where I’m refining my skills in advanced grammar, phonology, and communicative teaching. The DipTESOL has deepened my understanding of assessment, classroom management, and pronunciation instruction. As I continue, I feel empowered to create lessons that foster genuine language growth and confidence in my students. My teaching philosophy centers on interactive, personalized learning that connects language with real-world applications. I believe students thrive when lessons resonate with their lives and aspirations. Technology is also key in my approach; it enhances engagement, fosters adaptability, and prepares students for the digital world. By integrating both structured guidance and flexible, relevant content, I help learners gain the confidence to succeed in a globalized environment. Looking ahead, I aim to continue teaching for at least the next 10 to 15 years, while also remaining open to freelance projects that complement my schedule. Learning is a lifelong journey, and I welcome opportunities that allow me to expand my horizons and make a meaningful impact.
