About Han Thach

I am a self-motivated scientist and U.S. Army veteran with a passion for exceeding expectations in daily operations, both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Committed to continuous learning and growth, I strive to achieve personal and professional development while contributing to the success of the team and organization. My medical career began in the U.S. Army Pennsylvania National Guard as a Combat Medic/Healthcare Specialist, complemented by my civilian experience as an Emergency Medical Technician. In 2020, I was selected to join Pennsylvania's COVID-19 Medical Joint Task Force, working alongside FEMA, DOD, and PEMA to support statewide recovery and stabilization efforts during the pandemic. Shortly after, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Drexel University. I served actively on the task force until 2022, receiving several awards and acknowledgments from the Department of Defense and the Department of the Army for my contributions. My service extended to a combat deployment to the Horn of Africa, where I played a crucial role in providing preventative care, acute treatment, and emergency interventions to over soldiers. Collaborating with healthcare teams and leadership, I managed healthcare logistics, optimized medical operations, and delivered quality patient care under austere conditions. This experience sharpened my leadership abilities, resilience, and capacity to perform under pressure, reinforcing my dedication to quality care and operational excellence. In 2024, I completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from West Chester University, further enhancing my strategic thinking, business acumen, and leadership skills. This advanced education has strengthened my ability to navigate the intersection of science, business, and healthcare, positioning me to contribute effectively to the evolving landscape of medicine and science. Currently, I serve as an Associate Scientist at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines, an emerging leader in Gene & Cell Therapy CDMO. As a member of the Virology team, I contribute to analytical method development, testing, and client program support. I find fulfillment in this dynamic environment, where I can merge my passion for science and medicine. I am eager to connect with other professionals in this exciting field, fostering mutual growth and building a robust professional network.
