About Haney Williams

Haney Williams achieved his PhD from Colorado State University in Systems Engineering with emphasis in object tracking and recognition using deep learning. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach majoring in Computer Engineering and minoring in Computer Science in 2010. He achieved his Masters degree in Computer Engineering in 2011 from California State University Long beach. Haney has received several certificates from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the area of Systems Engineering, Data Analytics and Cyber-security. Haney has joined The Boeing Company in January 2008 as a contracted student Engineer to working on the ILAMM schematics for the C-17 program. May 2011, he joined Thales Avionics in Irvine California as systems engineer to architect, design and test the 3D Maps and architect the cabin crew user interface for American Airlines. He rejoined The Boeing Company in August 2012 as systems engineer to work on C-17 obsolescence mitigation. In August 2015, he joined the advanced development team for the C-17. During this period he developed the CMC fuel app, the QAR algorithms and developed the Command and Control (C2) for the Secure Comm. Project. Haney has taught several Computer Engineering and Computer Science at California State University Long Beach since January 2012 to 2020. He started teaching Systems Engineering classes at California Institute Of Technology (Caltech) in 2022.
