About Hani Iyliani

Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one". Ever since I heard that saying when I was 11, I have always strived to be the girl who can do it all, from getting straight A's, representing my school in sports tournaments, participating in international competitions, to becoming the Vice President of the Student Council. I quickly learned that being a "jack of all trades" is essential for success. Now, I am a graduate from University of Malaya with a First Class Honours Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). Aside from that, I am also a passionate cultural dancer with over 6 years of experience in the industry. I am currently working as a Grant Executive at MyCreative Ventures, a government investment arm that focuses on accelerating Malaysia's creative industry through funding and investments. With my diverse background, I have various experiences in teaching students, performing, building connections, managing projects, organising events, working in a production team and assisting in the grant development process. I find joy in doing a little bit of everything because it is rewarding as I get to acquire new knowledge and skills. Sometimes it can be tricky to juggle multiple things at once, but I always find a way to pull through. Although some people are more likely to conjure up negative connotations of people being "jacks of all trades", I see it as someone who has knowledge across many areas that can combine to create a well-rounded expert. And I truly believe that having broader knowledge leads to greater understanding when advising clients or stakeholders in multiple areas. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, attending art shows, and hosting dinner parties for my friends and family. I try to travel at least twice a year to recharge, experience different cultures and celebrate my hard work.
