I help guide the research efforts to help Gartner clients that provide technology products and services gain new perspectives on how customers make buying, renewal, and expansion decisions and the implications that has on evolving their business practices (including storytelling). The perspectives often challenge conventional wisdom and provide a more nuanced perspective to improve effectiveness and break free from the Tyranny of More. I don't focus on the practice of sales or the practice of marketing, per se, as those views often lead to customer frustrations. Instead, I help look at these things from a customer point of view.
