About Hannah Astle

Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher. When I was younger I loved pretending to be a teacher and making my brother do his homework,(although I’m sure he would say this is why he hated school). I went on to study for my degree in Education Studies, but I soon realised this wasn’t the path for me and completely went in the opposite direction to Financial Services. Since then, I haven’t looked back. I started in the contact centre, helping members with their mortgage servicing queries. I was then up-skilled to support mortgage payment breaks during the height of Covid, but also mortgage payment holidays. I pride myself in being an extremely empathetic individual and this reflects in my work. We’ve all had a bad experience with a contact centre at some point and that was always my motivation behind every call, to ensure each person left the call feeling helped and supported. I then moved onto my current role as a Case Owner within the Mortgages for Over 55s team, where we track and monitor applications from submission to completion. The role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and challenges. I thoroughly love working within the mortgage sector and I am looking forward to seeing where this leads me.
