About Hannah Bien

My name is Hannah Bien, and I am a hard-working undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry at College of the Ozarks in Hollister, MO. I have a Pre-Medical emphasis (3.4 GPA), but most importantly: I absolutely love chemistry! For the first three years of college I was studying Human Molecular Biology, but after taking Organic I & II, I was crazy about chemistry. I even changed my major despite being one year from graduating. My peers and supervisors see me as being detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and cheerful or calm when faced with challenges. I currently work as a TA at our Chemistry Department at College of the Ozarks, and it has been the best job experience in my life. I have tutored students in various courses, such as Principles of Chem, G.O.B, and now Organic Chemistry. I am so grateful for the experience of working for James Ashenhurst at Master Organic Chemistry; it has been a blessing to continuously learn from both him and my supervisors about the intricate and fascinating facets of Chemistry. I am currently taking a three-semester Senior Research course and I am fully submersed in the field. I plan on moving to Japan with my fiancé next year and working on a Masters in teaching while we are overseas. I desire to serve my local community and minister to the lost by sharing the Good News of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
