About Hannah Black

As a long science-lover, I have taken every opportunity possible to further develop my skill and knowledge by taking biology and chemistry courses at Covenant College, serving as a teaching assistant for the Chemistry Department, and tutoring students of all skill levels. I hope to be able to further explore the biological sciences in the years to come. Spending time with people of all ages and digging into relationships with them is one thing that I thoroughly enjoy, so I was a Resident Assistant for a year. Over that year, I learned how to manage physical and mental health needs on my hall during the pandemic when forming relationships was especially difficult. I also enjoy settings with children and, I have spent time at Chattanooga Christian School as a Summer Camp and Aftercare Worker throughout my time in college. The time that I have spent in these positions has taught me that not only do I love science, but I also love sharing it. I am thankful for my time working with students in Knox County Schools, and look forward to continued growth and capacity for good in UTHSC’s DDS program!
