About Hannah Cooper

I am deeply impassioned by working for people facing multiple disadvantages, and breaking down the stigma and prejudice faced by the most marginalised members of our community. Currently Manager of the Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub at St Martin’s Housing Trust. The Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub is a hostel and assessment centre which provides 14 private units and 2 emergency beds for people experiencing homelessness, ensuring they have privacy and a safe place to stay away from the street while their needs are assessed and suitable accommodation is found for them. Prior to this I led the Rebuild Project which supports high-risk people with convictions managed under MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements) into accommodation upon release from prison. The project has 2 houses and also provides support on an outreach basis. The project aims to support the rehabilitative process for its cohort to reduce re-offending, and in doing so, protects the public. The Rebuild Project was nominated for, and won, the Homeless Link national award for Prevention into Action, for the successes it had in preventing homelessness. I hold an ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management and am part of the Aspen Institute UK's Rising Leaders Fellowship.
