About Hannah Garner

I am a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy. I have worked full time throughout my entire college career; each job has helped steer me in the direction of my current career path. I entered the work force as a cashier at our local Hallmark store and excelled into the Assistant Manager position in just four short months. I was a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings, where I sharpened my customer service skills as well as my ability to multitask. While working as a hotel front desk clerk, I received a significant raise after only a month and increased my organizational skills. I assisted my dad with reconciling his books/records for his dock anchoring business, which reassured my passion for accounting. I also had the pleasure of being a part of the Walgreens team, where I was a shift lead and always led my team in a professional and proficient manner. While I was a student at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I interned at Marine Warehouse Center as an inventory control specialist. Upon graduation, I was promoted to office assistant. I assist the accountant and boat salesman in their daily tasks, which help me gain first hand knowledge in both the accounting and sales departments. Each of these jobs, in their own way, have helped me realize that I enjoy quality control, quantitative analysis and making sure things are running smoothly. I am project oriented, self-motivated, confident in making independent management decisions and effectively manage my team members. Realizing my strengths, I decided that accounting would be my forte. My ultimate goal is to continue to graduate school, obtain my MBA and become a CPA.
