About Hannah Godfrey
PhD Candidate in Companion Animal Nutrition through the Biomedical Sciences Department at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, under Dr. Adronie Verbrugghe. My thesis research is focused on the impacts of macronutrient compositions on energy metabolism in cats. I also concurrently serve on the Tom & Sawyer R&D Advisory Board, a fresh, gently cooked, pet food company. My MSc. thesis focused on nutrition and nutraceuticals, specifically the lipotropic effects of choline, for obesity prevention and treatment in companion animals. While feline nutrition encompasses the majority of my research focus, I have also grasped opportunities to take a comparative animal nutrition approach, including canine and equine nutrition, and wildlife nutrition.
