About Hannah Kent

I am a UVic BA Sociology graduate with extensive academic training and experience in social work, having predominantly served populations facing multiple barriers such as substance abuse, mental health, involvement in the criminal justice system, and trauma. For the past five years I have worked in a variety of environments within the supportive housing and shelter system in Victoria. Beyond that I have worked in a variety of environments where artistic creativity is involved, including food service, animal rehabilitation centers, commercial photo studio photo-shoots as a lighting assistant, and luxury resorts. Due to the nature of my parents work, my siblings and I grew up in the Middle East. Therefore I feel I have fostered a greatly multicultural understanding of the world, and make friends and connections easily and freely. At times, I have owned and managed my own small jewelry business as a teenager. These experiences have fostered a highly communicative, detail oriented and strong interpersonal work ethic applicable at any level of demand.
