About Hannah Ly

Hi! I am currently an undergraduate student attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, double majoring in Education and Psychology. I plan to pursue a master’s degree and obtain my therapy license to become a practicing clinician. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about caring for my community and making a positive impact through leadership, social connection, and counseling. I’m especially drawn to working with children and adolescents, with a strong interest in supporting their cognitive and social development. Spending time with young people in need has been one of my most meaningful experiences, and I look forward to dedicating my career to helping young people navigate challenges such as trauma, bullying, anxiety, and depression. I believe child therapists play a vital role in empowering youth to develop problem-solving skills, become critical thinkers, and prioritize their mental health—tools that prepare them to thrive in a complex world.
