Background

About Hannah Mallon

I currently work for Plymouth State University's teaching center, the Open Learning & Teaching Collaborative, as a Learning Developer (Instructional Designer). I support Interdisciplinary Studies students as they create customized degree programs and faculty as they create transformational experiences in their classrooms. Along with supporting the CoLab’s ongoing projects and curriculum, I coordinate the CoLab Student Affiliate (CoSA) Program, which empowers students to lead and engage in innovations in teaching and learning. I graduated from PSU in 2017 with a BA in English and teacher certification for grades 5-12. I returned to PSU and completed my Graduate Certificate in Online Instructional Design in 2020, then my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction in 2022. I am passionate about growing supportive, humanistic communities of care. I want to help students understand the (too often) confusing world of higher education, but I also want to play my part in creating institutions of learning that empower and advocate for their students, rather than capitalize off of them. I am interested in fandom, female/ queer representation in media, gender performance, and creative writing. I am a DM and frequent player of Dungeons & Dragons (ask me about my halfling paladin build!).
