Background

About Hannah Maroof

I have just graduated with a 2:1 in Biological Sciences (Genetics)(Hons) from the University of Edinburgh. I have a keen interest in biology and am comfortable working in a lab environment. Due to my role as treasurer on the University of Edinburgh Cheerleading society, I am confident working with accounts and budgeting. I am an enthusiastic learner and have studied a wide-range of topics, taking history and sustainable development modules in my first and second year of university. Being the current course representative for genetics means I have had to demonstrate excellent communication skills by liasing with students and members of the facualty for a variety of reasons, including student wellfare and course feedback. Throughout my time at university I have also worked part-time at Tesco, meaning I am confident leading a team and understand the importance of working in a customer-facing environment. This also has meant that I have developed excellent time-management skills and know how to prioritise my time well! Moreover, I am an extremely adaptable and resilient person. Having moved to the UK to study after growing up in Dubai, I understand the need for adaptibilty in the workplace and am looking for a dynamic team to work for. Currently based in Edinburgh, I am open to relocating for work and have no preferences to any certain location.
