About Hannah Prahl

One thing that I strongly believe is that there are endless opportunities in this world. I see that especially in the work place, if one is willing to work hard and put forth their best effort. I acknowledge that I am a young professional with no legal related work experience. However, that makes me that much more eager to try new things and explore different opportunities. In addition, I am adaptable and willing to be taught new tasks and procedures. Although I haven’t had any experience in a law office, I believe that the skills that I have learned from being in customer service for 10+ years will translate well into this career. Working as a server and bartender over the past several years I have learned quite a bit about how to work with people. For example, I have learned how to provide excellent customer service and anticipate customers’ needs before they even ask. In addition, I recognize the importance of working as an effective team. No business runs smoothly without teamwork and collaboration with those around you. Through the American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal program at College of Lake County I have also learned a number of things that make me a valuable asset to a legal team. I have studied several areas of law such as Litigation, Family Law, and Business Law. I have drafted sample documents and become familiar with WestLaw and Microsoft Office. I have also learned the importance of committing to deadlines and submitting projects that meet the expectations and highlight the work that I put into the assignment. Overall, my goal is to find an office that can help me advance my legal knowledge and skills. I believe that I would be a good asset to add to a team of hardworking individuals who work well as a team and as individuals.
