The TLDR; Appointed as Inside Sales Manager (March 2024) to Checkmark IT, based out of Manchester, UK, with wider operations in North America and Germany. Checkmark’s history revolves heavily around being a sole solution provider for all aspects of datacentre, security and managed devices. I joined to establish an inside sales team and work with market leaders and emerging vendors to better support our existing customers. There is a current heavy focus on broadening our vendor portfolio to enhance our go-to-market strategy, so this is currently a focus area for me, in preparation for our development into new business penetration. Previously: Contributor and coordinator to some of Softcat’s largest datacentre projects. Began initially as an account manager, and quickly moved roles into specialist sales where I have had four promotions since January 2018, and contributed to more than £18m in specialist sales profit (equating to ~£150m+ in revenue). One of three members of the team to win Dell’s Channel Sales Team of the Year for UK and Ireland in 2021. Softcat Northern Specialist Manager of the Year in FY23, and manager of a team of eight specialist sales supports covering both datacentre, and networking and security.
