About Hannah Snelling

Hello, I’m Hannah - Coffee Enthusiast, Dog Fanatic, Creative. Currently based in Calgary - from Northern Ireland on an IEC (International Experience Canada) Visa. I have several years industry experience in Art Director & Graphic Designer roles having worked in both agency and in house settings. I take joy in seeing a project from concept to completion and I am seeking a role where I can put my passion for the industry and the skills I have developed to use. I studied Graphic Design & Illustration at Ulster University, Belfast where I spent a year studying abroad at Hochschule Augsburg, Germany with the Erasmus scheme. This helped to broaden my knowledge of design, culture, travel and planted a seed of discovery in me. I returned to Belfast for my final year specialising in typography and editorial design. After graduating, I started my first role as a Junior Designer in a busy, small agency in Belfast. I spent over 2 years at MXB and learned invaluable lessons in the importance of team work, priorities, pace, confidence and the type of work that I want to focus on. After a year I was promoted from a junior position to a Graphic Designer role where I spent a lot of time working for clients such as P&G, Pantene, Pampers, Oral B, Tesco, Musgrave, Moy Park, Tayto & Learnosity. In October 2020 I started a new role with a German e-commerce interiors company called Westwing. I worked in a team of designers within the Content-Creation team based at the company HQ in Munich. I worked alongside stylists, videographers and photographers to create exclusive on-brand content for Westwing & various partner brands across several digital and social platforms. I created work for brands including; Westwing Collection, SMEG, KitchenAid, Xiaomi, Spotify & Nespresso. ​ I started my journey into the North American industry in December of 2021, beginning the experience remotely working for Indelible, a small startup agency working within the contentious and disruptive categories. This has opened my eyes to a new way of working and how it differs from the European industry. I have been exposed to the full range of services provided in agency and every corner of the business. My role as Art Director holds me directly responsible for creative produced across the account portfolio - which include; Spiked Boozy Sorbet, Kiaro Cannabis, Green Goo & The Gathering Summit.
