About Hannah Swanson

Motivated and passionate Senior Business Consultant working in the Innovation team at SEPA. The area of work I’m responsible for is managing and coordinating the Leven Programme. The Leven Programme is a regeneration initiative in mid-Fife, specifically the river Leven catchment. The Programme is a partnership of public, private, third sector and academic institutions. We’re focussed on taking a place-based approach to breathing life back into the catchment through environmental interventions that deliver local economic and social benefits. The partners care deeply for improving the lives of the people who call the Leven catchment home. It’s an ambition of the Programme to share learnings widely so they can be spread nationally and even globally. More information on this can be found in my featured links! My academic background is in Chemical Engineering. I have an MSc in Chemical Engineering with distinction and my masters thesis was concerned with synthesising and testing a novel adsorptive material for carbon dioxide capture. I’m keen to continue building my career centred around tackling climate change through partnerships and ensuring any efforts on this journey are inclusive and fair for people from all backgrounds. To do this we need to try new and different approaches, which I’ll continue to strive for with the inspiring people I meet along the way!
