Dedicated UCFB Wembley MSc International Sports Management graduate with a passion for equality and sustainability in the football industry. A formidable academic background in sports marketing, events management, and business leadership. Eager to develop and contribute my transferable skills and knowledge to aid success in the football industry and address social inequalities within. I am extremely adaptable, a fast learner and have an incredibly driven work ethic. This has been evident across my academic studies, in which I achieved consistent merit and distinction grades. I am additionally a voluntary member of the Amateur FA Youth Advisory Group, aiming to improve and safeguard grassroots football in the UK to establish equality in youth football. I am eager for further sporting opportunities, and I am equally as determined to achieve, especially as a woman aiming to enter a male dominated field. The teachings of my International Sport’s Management degree have been paramount in shaping me for a future career in the sporting industry. The content has provided education in several important fields: Sports Marketing, Contemporary Issues in Sport, Events Management and Business leadership. All of which have provided me with the background knowledge to be successful in the sporting industry. I have extensively researched social issues applied to a sporting context, such as the prevalence of anorexia in elite female gymnasts and the impact of football hooliganism on UK football fans and clubs. Throughout my undergraduate and master’s degrees, I have gained sufficient knowledge of sociological concepts, gauging a wide understanding of people and social phenomena. My interests include racism, homophobia, sexism and violence within sport. I have a keen interest in analysis, questioning the very foundations of the world that we know and challenging the effectiveness and suitability of structures reinforcing these inequalities. I believe that my analytical perspective and ability to uncover patterns within society are key qualities required to make a positive change. My knowledge, however, is not solely limited to a sociological context. I have garnered sufficient business knowledge which has enabled me to write a professional Information Memorandum, construct marketing plans from B2C, develop a marketing campaign alongside the formulation of a new business plan and write newspaper articles regarding contemporary issues in football.
