About Hannah Windmill
As a PhD researcher in Psychology/Cognitive Neuroscience, I am always looking for opportunities to expand my research skillset. Working as a research and development scientist alongside my PhD position, has given me the unique opportunity to apply my neuroscience - and psychological - skillset within a business setting with the aim of improving wellbeing in the workplace, providing me with an enhanced knowledge of the strengths of applying cognitive science and neuroimaging in both the academic and corporate worlds. My PhD research primarily focuses on the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (spectroscopy, functional and diffusion), Electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to investigate biomarkers of Minimal Hepatic Encephalopathy (MHE). Alongside this focus, my research uses these imaging modalities and actigraphy devices to further develop an understanding of sleep, cognition and mood in a wider population. I am competent in the use of R and MATLAB for data analysis purposes and in many neuroimaging softwares including FSL, EEGlab, MRtrix and LCModel.
