About Hannah Work
I am an enzymologist currently studying the metabolic activity of cytochrome P450 CYP3A7, the predominant metabolizing enzyme expressed in fetal and neonatal livers. Working under the advisory of Dr. Jed Lampe, I am working to develop experimental and computational models that better predict drug safety/tolerability in this fragile population. I have experience in membrane- and soluble-protein expression and purification, bioanalytical metabolic activity studies, small-molecule LC-MS/MS, and Schrodinger and Phoenix modeling software. I am excited to utilize and expand my unique expertise in preclinical development settings!Outside of lab, I hold elected communications and outreach/mentoring positions, including Junior Communications Officer for the American Society of Pharmaceutics and Experimental Therapeutics' DMD Division, as well as Undergraduate Outreach Coordinator at Anschutz Medical Campus' Women in STEM club. I am quite passionate about communication, outreach, and science policy and look forward to incorporating the soft skills I've gained in these areas in my future career.
